Connect

Channels

Put your bot on WhatsApp (official API or your existing number by QR), on your website, and in Zendesk or Intercom.

Choose a WhatsApp connection#

Officely supports two ways to connect WhatsApp. Both run the same bots, so you can start with one and switch later without rebuilding anything.

Both work on every plan. On Free, WhatsApp is limited to 20 conversations a day and a QR connection uses your own Green API account. On Pro you can also use an Officely-managed number. Open Channels in the sidebar to get started.

WhatsApp official API#

You need a Meta business account with a WhatsApp Business app and a registered phone number. Then, in Channels → WhatsApp · Official:

  1. 1

    Set the webhook in Meta

    Copy the callback URL https://api.officely.ai/meta from Officely and paste it into your Meta app's WhatsApp webhook settings.

  2. 2

    Enter your Meta credentials

    Paste your WhatsApp Account ID, Phone ID and access Token from the Meta developer dashboard.

  3. 3

    Save

    Optionally add a Log Callback URL to receive a copy of message events, then save. Your published bot now answers on that number.

Your existing number by QR#

In Channels → WhatsApp · Green API, choose how to connect:

  • Officely-managed number (Pro): click Connect With GreenAPI. Officely sets up your instance (this takes a moment), then shows a QR code.
  • Your own Green API account (any plan): create an account and an instance at green-api.com, paste its idInstance and API token (apiTokenInstance) into Officely, and click Connect. Officely then shows a QR code.
  1. 1

    Open WhatsApp on your phone

    Use the phone with the number you want to connect.

  2. 2

    Go to Linked devices

    Tap Settings → Linked devices → Link a device.

  3. 3

    Scan the code

    Point your phone at the QR code in Officely. You'll see WhatsApp is connected.

You keep using WhatsApp on your phone as usual. If messages get stuck, Restart instance clears the message queue.

Website chat widget#

Publish your chatbot or AI flow, then copy the embed code from the publish window and paste it before the closing </body> tag of your site.

Chatbot widget
<script src="https://app.officely.ai/chat-widget.js"></script>
<script>
  window.addChatWidget({
    id: "YOUR_BOT_ID", // filled in for you in the publish window
    type: "chat", // "chat" or "form"
    position: "side", // optional: "side" or "center"
    buttonColor: "#5b61eb", // optional
    autoOpen: false         // optional
  });
</script>

For an AI flow, the embed code calls window.addAIWidget({ id: "YOUR_FLOW_ID" }) with the same options. You can also add iconLink with the URL of your own button icon.

In the chatbot's settings you can upload a Logo, restyle the widget with custom CSS under Widget style, and choose the language of system messages.

Zendesk and Intercom#

Intercom: the Officely app adds an AI assistant to your Intercom Inbox. Sign in to Officely from the app, choose one of your AI flows, and click Answer this ticket for me to draft a reply.

Zendesk: Officely can answer Zendesk tickets with your AI flows. To set it up for your account, email info@officely.ai.

Both need a paid plan.
