Jump step

What it does#

A Jump step sends the flow to another step you choose, and the flow continues from there. It doesn't reply by itself, and nothing can come after it.

Use it to:

• Reuse a step from several branches, such as one shared Answer step after a Filter.
• Retry: after a check step finds a problem, jump back to the step that writes the answer.

Add a Jump step#

   Add a step at the end of a branch

   Click + Add agent where the branch should continue elsewhere, double-click the new step and choose Jump in the type menu.

   Pick the target

   Under Settings, open Jump to and choose the step the flow should continue from.

   Test both paths

   Click Preview and send messages that go down each branch.

Common mistakes#

• "A jump can't have steps after it". Put the step you need before the Jump, or in the target's path.
• The flow never ends. If a Jump goes back to an earlier step, make sure a Filter on that path eventually sends it somewhere else.
• The flow stops with "not found". The step the Jump pointed to was removed. Open the Jump and choose a new target.
