Build
Share your chatbot
Send a chat link, use the form link, or paste one snippet to put the chat on your website.
Open Share#
Click Share at the top of the builder. Share your chatbot opens with everything you need to put the bot in front of customers.
Sharing works once the chatbot is live. On a draft you'll see Publish first, then share, with a Publish button right there.
| In the panel | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Chat link | A page with your chatbot. Send it in emails, social bios or QR codes. |
| Form link | The same chatbot, one question at a time, without the chat history. |
| Website embed code | A snippet that adds the chat to your website. |
| Connect a channel | Open channels to choose which chatbot answers on WhatsApp. Try it runs the preview. |
Click Copy next to any of them.
Chat link or form link?#
- Use the chat link for a conversation: customers see the whole exchange, like a messaging app.
- Use the form link when the flow is really a questionnaire, such as a booking or sign-up form. Each question replaces the last one.
Both follow the same steps. Try each to see which feels right for your flow.
Add the chat to your website#
- 1
Copy the code
In Share, click Copy next to Website embed code.
- 2
Paste it into your site
Paste it just before the closing
</body>tag, or into your site builder's custom code or HTML block (for example in WordPress, Wix or Shopify). - 3
Publish your site
Open your website. The chat button appears in the corner you chose in Settings > Appearance.
The snippet looks like this (yours has your own ID):
<script src="https://app.officely.ai/chat-widget.js"></script>
<script>
window.addChatWidget({
id: 'YOUR_ID',
type: "chat", // chat or form
});
</script>Change type to "form" to embed the form version instead.
Colors, logo, chat button and welcome message are set in Settings > Appearance. More about the widget in Channels.
Common problems#
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Publish first, then share | The chatbot is a draft. Click Publish, then the links and code appear. |
| The link opens a different chatbot | The links always run your live chatbot. Publish the chatbot you want customers to get. |
| The chat button doesn't show on your site | Make sure both script lines were pasted, and that your site was published after the change. |
| Your website shows the Officely look | Your own colors and logo switch on with Pro. See Appearance. |
