Assistant

Open the Assistant#

Press ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows), or click Assistant on the slim bar at the right edge of the screen. It opens in the same panel as Preview, so you can switch between asking and testing.

The Assistant always knows which chatbot is open. It also works in the AI agent setup and the AI Flows editor.

What it can do#

In the Chat Builder, the Assistant can build a whole flow, add or change steps, rewrite texts, connect steps, test the flow and publish it. Some things to ask:

• Build a lead-capture flow for a dental clinic
• Rewrite all texts in a friendlier tone
• Add a button step after the welcome
• Check the flow and fix every error

Be specific: name the steps you mean, say what customers should see, and give real details (your hours, your prices, your team's email).

You'll see every action as it happens, with a short summary of what changed, for example +3 · 2 edited · 4 linked. Changes appear on your canvas straight away.

It works on drafts#

Everything the Assistant changes goes to the draft. Customers don't see it until it's published.

• Publishing and deleting always ask you first. You'll see Ready to publish or Needs your OK with Publish / Confirm and Cancel. Nothing happens until you click.
• Undo reverses the Assistant's changes. The Changes bar above the message box counts them.
• Versions it publishes are tagged By the assistant in Versions.

Tips#

• Click Stop to stop it mid-answer.
• Click New conversation (the +) to start fresh on a different task.
• Ask one change at a time when you're fixing something specific. Ask for a whole flow when you're starting out.
